Here are a just a fee of the play foods I crocheted for Little Man to use in his play kitchen when he was younger. I donated a lot of the food I made to his class last year. His teacher said all the other teachers loved it and wanted some for their classrooms. So I may have to make some more here soon. Here I have cupcakes, strawberries, cherries and a banana. I know I had also made some apples, oranges, carrots, ice cream on a cone, tea and coffee cups, popcorn and corn on the cob.

Green Eggs and Ham
About 4 years ago one of Little Man's best friends loved to read Dr. Seuss books, especially green eggs an ham. So I decided to make her some green eggs and ham to play with in her play kitchen. So I found a pattern for the eggs online and then I looked at s pattern for a cornucopia and altered it to make the ham. I have the pattern written down somewhere and may add it here someday.

Western Cowboy Themed Baby Shower
We had a baby shower for my sister in law. The babies room is western/cowboy theme. So we decided to do the same for the shower. I made a diaper cake, cake pop s'mores, and s'more bar mix as favors. My mom made chili so we had a chili bar and I made a small hot chocolate bar, my sister made the a lemon cake and a friend brought buckeyes and haystacks. I also crocheted the cowboy booties. There are more and better photos on my camera I will have to add later.

Apple Cozies
For teacher appreciation gifts this year I made apple cozies. I used a pattern I purchased on bracelet and used cotton yarn. They turned out a little big since I used cotton yarn and I don't check my gage. But I figured they would work well for large apples that way. Little Man have one to both his Chinese teachers and his English teacher.

Snowman Soup
I helped plan a winter party for Little Man's class. As a treat I made packets of snowman hot cocoa. I put a packet of hot chocolate, Hershey 's kisses, marshmallows, and a candy cane to stir it. I attached a poem that I cannot find the link to now.
I wish I hadn't waited to the last minute and I would have had time to make them a little cuter.

Baby Blanket Gift
I wanted to make a different blanket than the other I had been making. So I made this Striped blanket. It was easy and turned out so nice and soft. I also gave her a new mom survival kit. I saw one online like so I created a similar one.

Super Hero Capes & Masks
I had seen this on pinterest and wanted to make the boys capes and masks for the super hero party a friend was throwing. So the night before I got out some fabric and felt and got to it. I printed off lightning and letters and traced them on a cereal box to use to as a tracing template. Then placed the templates on the felt to trace and then cut out. Next I used a iron on adhesive to iron them to the capes which are jersey knit fabric that I cut out freehand and attached velcro the the neck(you could also just tie them on). I used elastic and thicker/stiffer felt for the masks. I traced them also and then cut out. They boys seemed to really like them and Gavin is still playing with his almost a year later.
