thrifting thursday

i've done quite a bit of thrifting the last week or so.
I found the striped sheets on little man's bed and a couple vintage sheets and pillow cases, some items to use for 'tell your story'-stamps, chipboard letters, paper, a couple pair of nice jeans and a book for Gavin, a cute yellow little girls dress with bloomers and a hat, embroidery hoops, yarn, crocs, and a cute top for me.

a baby blanket i also started over the weekend while i was at jackie's.

quilt work in progress

i got my inspiration from sewing in no time

i've never sewn before, so jackie taught me how while i was visiting her for the weekend. i decided to start with this patchwork blanket and i'm going quilt it instead of using the buttons on the corners. the material i'm using is from a bundle of fat quarters i bought at joanne's on sale. i would have never thought to put these patterns together in one blanket.





i have it all pinned now and ready to quilt and bind.
